Managing the ACC Administrator Settings

Avid Content Core provides a set of Administrator apps that allow you to configure a variety of system-wide settings. The following table briefly describes each of the buttons that are available in the Administrator Fast Bar.

Description

Expand / Collapse

You can click the Expand button to show the Fast Bar in more detail, or click the Collapse button to minimize the Fast Bar to the left side of the user interface.

Web Editor

Allows you to configure settings related to the operation of the Web Editor app.

For more information, see Configuring the Web Editor Settings.

Search Settings

This app provides a snapshot of the current state of the search index, catalogs, and queues.

For more information, see Using the Search Settings App.

Site Registry

Allows you to see the sites and systems that are connected to your Avid Content Core tenant.

For more information, see Using the Central Site Registry App.

App Overflow

If you reduce the size of your browser window to a point at which all apps cannot be displayed, the Fast Bar responsively scales by hiding apps from bottom to top. When this happens, ACC displays the App Overflow button below the Web Editor Settings app. You can access hidden apps by clicking the app overflow button.

Accessing the Administrator Apps

Only users that are associated with an administrator role in the ACC Control Panel are allowed access to the administrator apps.

To access the administrator apps:

  1. Sign in to Avid Content Core with your administrator account.

For details, see Connecting to Avid Content Core.

  2. Click the User Menu in the upper-right corner of the user interface and select the Admin Mode option.

  3. When you are finished using the Administrator apps, do one of the following:

    • Click the User Menu and select the Main Mode option to return to the main ACC user interface.

    • Click the User Menu and then click the Sign Out option to exit Avid Content Core and close your session.
