Changing the Task Priority (List View)

The Priority menu serves as communication tools that help you convey important information about the task. The Priority menu can be used to communicate the task’s level of importance or urgency. The Tasks app ships with four priorities (Low, Medium, Important and Urgent). Use the Change priority control to change the priority of tasks.

Note the following limitations for changing the priority of tasks:

  • In the Tasks app List view , the Change priority control is associated with the Priority column.

  • You can only change the priority of one task at a time, multi-selection is not supported.

To change the priority of a task:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • To change the priority in the task details, open the Details panel for the task.

    • To change the priority in the Tasks app List view, show the Priority column if the column is hidden. See Modifying Tasks List Columns (List View).

  2. Click on the Priority of the task.

  3. Select the priority you want to assign from the menu.

    The new priority is assigned to the task.
