Modifying Tasks List Columns (List View)

In the Tasks app List view, tasks are displayed as a list, which provides basic information on each task in several columns.

You can modify the layout of the Tasks app List view. The following options are available:

  • Show and hide columns. The following columns are shown by default: Name, State, Due Date, Priority, Assignee, Type, and Access. The Name column is mandatory and cannot be hidden.

The Display Options menu shows you all columns that you can use in the Tasks app List view. In addition to the default columns, the following columns can be shown:

    • Attachments: The number of attached assets.

    • Created at: Date when the task was created.

    • Creator: Name of the user who created the task.

    • Last modified: Date when the task was last updated.

    • Notes: Notes assigned to the task. For more information, see Using Notes.

    • Stage: The current stage of the task during the Review and Approval processing flow (such as Requested). For more information, see Using Review and Approval Tasks.

    • Start Date: Date when the task is to be started.

    • Tags: Tags assigned to the task. For more information, see Using Tags.

Note that showing and hiding columns only applies to List view and has no effect on the columns shown in the Tasks app's Board view.

  • Rearrange columns: You can reorder the columns in the Tasks list area by simply dragging and dropping the column to a new position.

  • Adjust the width of columns: You can use your mouse to click on the divider between two columns to adjust a column to a custom size.

  • Sort columns. By default, tasks are shown as a list in the Tasks app that is sorted by the Name column in alphabetical order. You can sort each column by clicking on the column header. Sorting is always applied to all displayed tasks.

The display format of the dates shown in the date columns can be modified in the User Settings. See Configuring the General Settings.
