Using the Exploration Panels

The Landing Page provides access to the following panels:

  • Trending

This is a list of assets that are being used by other users in your team, department, or organization.

  • Recently Added

Displays a list of assets for which proxy media has recently been made available. The panel sorts this content according to the Created metadata field (newest to oldest).

Recently added (and Recently Modified) assets take the time-zone into account when displaying this list of assets. For example if you create an asset in New Your at 5pm, and another in London at 5pm, the two assets are not likely to be listed next to each other. Although both were created at 5pm, there is actually a 5 hour difference in their creation time.

  • My Day

This panel displays up to 100 tasks that might be assigned to you through the Tasks app. The panel uses the "My Day"  filter to display only those tasks that are incomplete, assigned to you, and for which the Due Date is either today or earlier. Tasks can be displayed in either Grid view, or Board view — depending on your Landing Page Layout settings. Each tile includes the name of the task, as well as information about that task. For additional details on each of these fields, see Using the Tasks App.

You can double-click any of the tiles in this section to open the task in the appropriate app (Tasks or Review and Approval for example).

  • Favorite Searches

If you create a favorite in the Search app, that search appears in this panel. You can click any favorite to automatically switch to the Search app and run the search. For details, see Creating and Using Search Favorites.

Favorite searches are listed in a grid pattern (two rows, multiple columns) with the most recent search appearing at the top left, and oldest at the bottom right. This panel can include up to 100 favorite searches.

  • My Collections

This is an alternate visualization of the My Collections app. Anything that you add to this space is added to the same collection in the My Collections floating window. The reverse is also true. For details, see Using My Collections.

  • Recently Modified

The panel displays assets whose metadata has been recently changed. For example if someone adds a comment to a source MediaCentral asset, changes the name of an asset through an on-prem process, or makes an edit to a Web Editor sequence, the asset could appear in this panel — sorted according to the Modified metadata field (newest to oldest).

  • Recently Added: All assets sorted by the Created date column

  • Recently Modified: All assets sorted by the Modified date column

Results are sorted by these columns, even if you have hidden these values through the Search app's Display Options menu. If you had already used the Search app in this user session, your previous search and results are cleared when you click the Open in Search button.
